Perth’ s open fires you need to be sitting by this Winter
With winter fully upon us, there’s always the temptation to stay home and do not much at all, especially if you reside in Perth. We don’t know why but it just seems to be the way we Perth people are. With the food offerings and wine offerings still the same and some even better than ever, we thought we might be able to entice you to step out of the comfort of your own home, throw on those winter boots and head for some drinks by a nice warm fireplace.
Here are some fabulous places around Perth with warm crackling fireplaces to get you off the couch and enjoying some of what our gorgeous Perth has to offer.
Situated within the heart of Perth City, The Stables Bar is housed in one of Perth’s original horse stables from 1894. From innovative food, refreshing and creative cocktails, a great wine selection an overall great vibe, this is somewhere you want to be this weekend. Even better their fire is so welcoming you’ll want to bring your whole group and make a night of it.
The Guilford hotel
This heritage-listed pub offers a casual vibe with an inviting and delicious menu. From your classic pub favourites to lots of sharing options, venture out and grab a cocktail or glass of wine and sit by this inviting fire. Add it to your list to visit in the gorgeous Guildford suburb – it’s a must.
Mrs Browns Bar
Nestled in iconic North Fremantle, this bar has an exquisite fireplace along with the cosy and relaxed atmosphere, you can always rely on them. Along with your beverage of choice pair it with one of their delicious platters or a burger from next door, a perfect pair.
Rodney’s Bait ‘n Tackle
If their nautical theme doesn’t reel you in.. (the bar is a locally built 1950s timber cruiser) then their fire and live music will! With a great range of beers, wine, cider and spirits along with an inviting food menu, this is a relaxed and well-known neighbourhood bar in Mosman park. Just opposite the train station make this your next meeting point and soak up the historic fishing interiors.
The Brisbane hotel
Situated on the corner of Brisbane and Beaufort Street, this venue is a vibrant and re-invented pub, attracting locals while keeping it urban and contemporary. Along with their amazing fire which is perfect this time of year, take your pick from their range of affordable wines and a menu which has something for everyone. Whether it’s a drink after work or a night out on Saturday, they have you covered.
We all know they have a spacious outside area which is suited for all year round, but head inside and get comfortable in front of their fire. Perfect for friends and family, they are always buzzing and offer a great wine and cocktail list. Want to get out during the week? Their dinner specials start from $15, serving up all the classics, you’ll be coming back again!
A Mosman Park favourite, this restaurant, whisky and wine bar is so inviting with a great history, knowledgeable staff members and an all-round place with a great atmosphere. Huddle round their open fire during happy hour with a half price drink in hand and some light eats or maybe you want more of a substantial meal. Get your friends together and your night has got that much better.
