Support the families of WA and their youth
Support Ngala and join us for the 2019 Friends of Ngala Annual Dinner Dance
On the night of October 25th I will be hosting Ngala’s dinner dance and I would love for you to join us in supporting this charity that has changed the lives of so many of my friends.
If you have ventured into the land of having babies, I can almost guarantee that you would have heard of Ngala and the incredible work they do supporting parents and their babies. If this is you, you will also understand that we have all had those moments where parenting life can just be unbearable and you have no idea where to turn. This is where Ngala comes in. They have been the first point of call for many struggling families and we need to support them in continuing this life changing service.
Ngala’s story began in 1980 when they were first known as a refuge and maternity home for young pregnant women. As the years have progressed so have their amazing efforts.
Today, the Ngala charity operates across Western Australia and continues to use the latest internal and external research and training, alongside community stories and experiences to develop and deliver services that meet the needs of today’s parents and children.
Over time, Ngala has evolved in response to families, communities and society providing assistance and support for pregnancy, birth, baby, toddler, child, teen…these amazing and hard-working women work together to make a big difference.
Ngala Service Reach 2017-18:
- 13,095 Families receiving phone support
- 3,901 Families accessing a community program
- 1,782 Parents receiving Inpatient services and home visits
- 1,744 Parents attending workshops and/or groups
- 843 Children enrolled in Childcare (Early Learning Services)

This year they are celebrating their 130th year in style, hosting a dinner dance which will be held at Rambla on Swan on Saturday the 25 October. Ngala is one of Western Australia’s longest serving charities, providing support to WA families for 129 years. All proceeds raised from this event will go directly to helping West Australian families when they need it most.
