Perth’s thrilling new waterslides are here just in time for Summer
Outdoor loving, adrenaline junkies and water bodies stand by! Some of the most exciting waterslides in the country, including Western Australia’s fastest body slide and a six-storey waterslide tower, have landed just in time for Summer, bigger and better than ever.
The whole family have been thought of from the four thrill-based waterslides right up to water attractions, children’s playgrounds, food and drinks plus many other activities, there’s always something going on.
Partnering with the Australian Koala Foundation, Perth’s Outback Splash gives visitors the chance to pat a koala and to meet resident kangaroos, an emu family and a special local, ‘Winnie the Wombat’.
An expansive lawn area is ideal for picnics and onsite food and beverage outlets, the Burger Bar and Snack Shack, serve fresh meals or grab a locally-roasted Yahava coffee and take a little time out for yourself.
Perth’s Outback Splash is also a popular location for Christmas parties and birthday celebrations so make a splash with your crew and do things a little bit differently this year.
Now for the thrill-seeking part… let’s just say it involves some free-fall drops, lightning speed acceleration, effects and much more across the four new slides, combine to be 489 metres long! Let’s have a look at what we can expect from each one and you can plan ahead, we think the name of the slide says it all…
Love the feeling of adrenaline? Then you’ll love W.A’s fastest body slide and one of the tallest in Australia. Let’s just say an open tube, solo waterslide producing speeds of up to 75 km per hour is just the start of it!
Named after WA’s mining history with a stunning gold translucent design, this solo enclosed body gives riders the ultimate rush, producing speeds of up to 60 kilometres per hour, combined with hysteric twists and turns.
Grab a friend and in no time you’ll be surrounded by light effects before you’re thrust into an almost free-fall plummet followed by an 11 metre near-vertical ascent.
A two-person raft slide that is the closest thing to intergalactic space travel in Perth. Features a ‘black hole’ with a sequence of pitch black, natural light and coloured light effects. Riders are taken on twists and high-speed turns with only a glimpse of daylight, before gravity kicks in and they unknowingly experience an epic final drop.
The team have also come up with sun-smart sliding, with the new slide tower custom engineered with shade in mind. Towering more than 20 metres in the air, is a solid roof to keep guests and the park’s crew in almost full shade all day. Shelter from the sun is also projected over the queuing area by a giant UV-rated shade sail. Now you can enjoy all the fun with less heat!
There will be no better way to cool down this Summer. Head to Outback Splash for a full day of fun the whole family will enjoy.
