Grazing boards are all the rage at the moment. If you haven’t attended a party or event where you have indulged in one of these delicious creations then I’m going to come out and say it, you’ve been living under a rock. To catch you up, grazing boards are incredible pieces of edible art.
So much creative goes into making these boards you can’t help but admire their beauty. They are stunningly colourful and everything seems to be placed exactly where it’s meant to be. I tried my hand at putting one together at home and it’s safe to say I wont be starting a grazing board business anytime soon. My artistic flair was nowhere to be seen.
A few weekends ago, on Mothers Day, we had the opportunity to have a quick spontaneous getaway and one of my favourite places to head is always York. It’s just over an hour out of Perth, it’s quiet and the cottage we stay in is insanely gorgeous and close to town. Just a swing bridge away in fact.
As we only had one night we decided against shopping, prepping and cooking and decided to take this incredible grazing board from On Board Gourmet Grazing up with us. Best decision ever. Not only did I not have to prep our meal, but we were able to graze on the most incredible looking and tasting food board and all we had to do was simply pick it up and put it down exactly where we wanted to graze.
From fruit, nuts and dips to cheese, crackers and chocolate, the board was filled with everything I could have wanted. It topped off the most beautiful Mothers Day and best of all…. there was not dishes to be washed after.
