Celebrate Little Things Gin first birthday with our Grapefruit Cocktail
Hand made by Perth locals, The Spirit of Little Things was conceived by three mates who had a dream to produce a small-batch artisan gin with a uniquely Australian fingerprint. Founders Mick, Josh and Tom started working on the idea in 2018, and a side hustle turned into being stocked in some of Perth’s most reputable restaurants like Canteen Pizza, The Shorehouse, The Raft and a bunch of bottle shops too. Ethically sourced, made with love and homegrown, it’s a must-try for when you next need a bottle of something special.
With a range to choose from such as Australian Botanical with hints of native thyme, strawberry and lemon myrtle, Australian Dry with delicate flavours of the Australian bush featuring bold Juniper tones and aniseed myrtle, and our current favourite, Navy Strength, sea-faring strength gin infused with a burst of native oils.
This weekend is their first birthday and to celebrate we created a really easy cocktail featuring grapefruit, lime and rosemary…but the real hero is the Navy Strength gin. You could call it a grapefruit fizz or a grapefruit soda, whatever you choose only takes a few minutes and will be perfect for the warmer afternoons coming up.
- 250ml CAPI Grapefruit Soda (you can buy it at selected IGAs, or swap for grapefruit juice and soda water)
- One-shot Spirit of Little Things Navy Strength Gin
- Soda water to taste
- Wedge of lime
- Rosemary to garnish
- Add ice to cup
- Add a shot of gin
- Pour over grapefruit soda
- Top with soda water
- Add a slice of lime and a sprig of rosemary for garnish
Make sure to tag us at @rayneellaperth if you make it or share your own cocktail recipe…we would love some ideas!
