We’re testing the $100 Shampoo and Conditioner used by Kylie Jenner. Is it Really Worth It?
We all love fresh hair. Whether you’re a bright blonde and need to maintain the colour every 6 weeks or so, or like me, you go for a more lived-in brown focusing mainly on freshening up highlights when you finally get the chance. One thing we can all agree on though is that there’s no better feeling than walking out of the salon with silky, smooth, fresh hair.
We all know the damage done to our hair when having it dyed and we also know that to counteract the damage and keep the colour lasting, we should be applying an at home treatment every 1 to 2 week. Do you do this? I certainly don’t.
Olaplex is a renowned product when it comes to the hair world. It’s the original, unique and patented chemistry that multiplies bonds and cross-links broken bonds. Olaplex is a complete internal reparative treatment, being used during colour, perming and straightening services all around the world.
A little too technical? Basically, this product range can be used in many ways.
- As a 3 step service upgrade including a client take-home to repair hair during chemical services.
- An express treatment to restore or boost the condition of the hair during your appointment.
- As a cutting and detangling lotion.
- A take-home product to continue the strengthening of hair between salon visits.
After my recent appointment at Paris Rose Hair Artistry, I decided to take the plunge and buy the N°4 Bond Maintenance shampoo and conditioner- totalling $95. I was a little hesitant at the start but I have a huge amount of trust in the girls at Paris Rose Hair Artistry and know that if they say it’s an amazing product and I need it, then I do.
For me, I wash my hair once a week (don’t judge me) so using this in a small amount goes a long way (probably even 6 months). The N°4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner has been proven to reduce breakage and strengthen all hair types. No.4 is a reparative shampoo that gently cleanses, leaving hair easy to manage, shiny and healthier with each use. Resigning to the fact that I would make it to the hairdressers every 4 months and I struggle to remember to do treatments at home resolves the fact that for me, it’s 100% worth it.
Overall, I think this is a great product if you regularly dye your hair or feel like it’s getting more damaged over time. With it being paraben-free, sulphate-free, phthalate-free, gluten-free, vegan, nut free and completely colour safe, you know it’s going to be doing great things for your hair. But probably best of all, no more guilt about not keeping up my end of the bargain with the at-home treatments.
